VC Academy is dedicated to cultivating a strong community around venture capital and early-stage investing. Our mission is to demystify the world of VC for students by providing access to the resources, knowledge, and networks necessary to thrive in the industry.

Serving as Alma Mater Angel’s connection to the new generation of VC and entrepreneurial talent, VC Academy allows us to mentor and foster the investors and innovators of tomorrow. All VC Academy resources and opportunities are completely free for students admitted to one of our cohorts.

VC Academy was created at the University of Southern California in hopes of addressing the lack of a centralized venture capital community for students interested in entering the industry. Working directly with students at USC’s premier entrepreneurship organization, Spark SC, we were able to collectively plan an initiative that would help address some of the problems centered around VC that students were experiencing on campus. After months of preparation, VC Academy was born in the Fall of 2024 and recruited its first cohort of talented students shortly after.
